I purchased 3 years ago and the unit has design flaws. First the base plate uses fine-thread screw thar stripped out rendering the unit useless until I drillied out and retapped the hole for a new screw, second and most annoying is the 10 pin trigger for Nikon that I have had to replace 4 times because the end of the wire that connects to the camera is weak and breaks easily leaving me to pry the broken pieces out of the camera.

This bracket works great. I especially like the flip portion of the bracket making it very easy to go from landscape to portrait mode. The bracket is built very well and even comes with a storage pouch. I had looked at more expensive brackets but did not think they looked or worked any better then this one. This flash bracket is well worth the price and I think is as good or better then the more expensive ones.
